Privacy notice (preview stage)
What happens with information you enter into this site as it exists today. We will expand this notice before launching accounts or accepting payments.
The current website
Doing It Alone currently offers public guide previews and a few free browser-based tools. There is no user-account signup, payment checkout or mailing-list form on the website at this stage.
Budget calculator
The move-out budget tool calculates results in your browser. Its entered numbers are not deliberately submitted to our servers by the tool.
Apartment checklist
When supported by your browser, completed checklist items are stored locally on your device using browser storage. They can be lost if you clear your browser data or switch devices.
Hosting and technical logs
Like most websites, our hosting provider may process technical information—such as IP addresses, timestamps and requests—to operate and protect the service. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for their practices.
Future accounts and payments
If we introduce subscriptions, we will update this notice with details of account data, payment providers, retention, access and user rights before collecting personal details. The current site does not accept subscription payments.
